Brendon
Venner has been performing live as a drummer/percussionist
since 1975.
As a result of this long experience, he currently suffers from tennis
elbow, golfers elbow, tendonitis, tinnitus, acute hearing loss,
cardiac arrhythmia, progressive follicular migration, non specific
anxiety disorder and incipient mange.
Over the years he has unashamedly ripped off Led Zeppelin, Frank
Zappa, John Phillip Souza, The Beatles, The Al Roker Death Cult
Wind Ensemble, Rush, Grand Funk Alice Cooper, King Crimson, Emerson
Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull, Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea.
Brendon has been in Warhorse, Ironheart, Full Moon Radio amongst
others playing hard rock, psychedelia and post-punk concentrating
on original material.
After touring the UK with Labrats, Brendon returned to OZ and joined
The Sunshine Crowd which included former Widowed Isis violinist,
Marvin Druid. Botica joined soon after on bass and later, guitar,
this outfit also recorded. During this time Brendon played in clubs,
restaurants and function bands as well as pick up bands for touring
acts, making his way as a working musician and teaching music at
the Australian Academy of Drums & Percussion. |
