  Ralph Mitchell learned finger-style guitar in the 60's in Adelaide and then played bass guitar in bands in Canberra in the 70's and 80's.

After moving to Sydney in the 90's he got back into playing in the early 00's and played in working rock/blues bands Prime Numbers, MELD, Strange Brew and Kevin Coco Band and old-time blues/jazz/folk band Blue Goose (current).

Ralph also gets together with a bunch of friends to play jazz for themselves and at friends' parties, and teaches guitar and bass in his home in Newtown.

Some of Ralph's musical influences are... The Beatles, Yardbirds, Free, Bob Dylan, The Who, Cream, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Band, Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Police, Little Feat.
